An important part of our youth ministry is the vision that God has given to this church body. We desire to minister according to the church mission and our personal vision for ministry as believers. We are committed to inviting those around us to be members of our community, regardless of where they are in their personal journey; to leading people into spiritual maturity as they commit to being a part of God’s plan for His Kingdom; to helping people to find their place in the ministry of the church; and to taking the good news about Jesus Christ to our neighborhood and to the nations. To accomplish our vision we have identified four values, which we call elements: the commitments around which we center our programming and planning.
Our first element is called gather. This is our commitment to welcome those around us into relationship and community, regardless of where they are in their personal journey, and to know and worship Jesus Christ personally.
Our second element is called grow. This is our commitment to making disciple makers. We are committed to providing an atmosphere where all of us are learning and growing in our spiritual journeys, and where we interact with each other with transparency and humility. We strive to teach lessons directly from scripture, which can be passed on to others by those hearing them.
Our third element is called give. This is our commitment to identifying and meeting physical needs. We approach this with the conviction that every believer has a part in the life of the Body of Christ, and every believer is called to be a part of the ministry and mission of Christ.
Our final element is called “Go”. This is our commitment to take the good news about Jesus Christ to our neighborhood and to the nations. We are committed to walking in intimacy, engaging the world around us, identifying spiritual needs and meeting them in the power of the Holy Spirit.
